The Department of Applied General and Technical Studies of the College of Applied Science and Technology recently honored some of its outstanding students at a reception attended by friends, family, faculty and administrators.
The honorees are:
“We are so pleased to have the opportunity to recognize some of our exceptional students,” says Chernikova. “These decisions are not easy ones to make, as we have so many worthy students in our department and our college.”
The Charles Salem Scholarship is awarded annually in memory of the late Dr. Charles Salem, who taught in the department. It is given to a student on a competitive basis based on GPA as well as service to the campus and community. Wang has a GPA of 3.82.
